Raising Children to Be Smart and Virtuous#2
Good qualities are implanted in children through their cultivation of good habits.
Where do Children’s Habits come from?
After parents learn that good children must not be troublesome, ignorant, or careless towards others, the question now is, how do parents cultivate these traits in their children?
Good qualities are implanted in children through their cultivation of good habits.
Habits are familiarity, or each person’s individual behavior. They are developed with repetitive thoughts, speech, and actions. These repetitive activities, in turn, influence how good or bad we are.
If parents allow their children to repeatedly think, speak and act unwholesomely, regardless of the sca..... Read More about Buddhist Meditation Techniques |

Raising Children to Be Smart and Virtuous#1
Parents must invest time to teach children to be smart and virtuous.
Our world seems to become smaller in terms of its interconnectedness. Changes occurring around the world have immediate effects on us socially and economically. The strength of the family, society and the nation depends upon how much knowledge, ability, and virtues parents have in raising smart and virtuous children.
Learning ways to raise smart and virtuous children is an important task that all parents must not neglect. A child who is smart but not wholesome will not survive, and a child who is wholesome but not smart will not endure either. A child must be both in order to be successful and make it in this world.

Every parent wants their child to be healthy and good. However, there are many parents who do not understand that in order to have a good child they have to practice good behavior and be prepared to become a father and a mother even before they are married. They should not wait to begin after the baby has arrived. By then, they will not be good role models for their child. It is then unlikely that he/she will grow up to be the good child that his/her parents desire. Hence, it is good to introduce the subject of Transferring Good Behavior to the Baby in the Womb.

When You Respect The Lord Buddha You Are Clever
People, after they are born as humans, whether they are a child or an adult, cannot observe who is a good person and who is a bad person because they are not clever (no common sense). S/he may be a graduate with many a degree such as B.S., M.A. or PhD, but will be unable to tell who is good or bad. If you cannot tell the difference then someone may cheat you or lie to you (hoodwink you) or more than that, you can bring a bad person into your house. The household will then have a problem. Did you find it ? – Yes.
Where is it? – Nirvana.
Has there been anybody who followed you there? – Plenty And where is Nirvana? – That’s a good question. We are here to study the path that leads to that place.
What is Nirvana?
The word ‘Nirvana’ has a variety of meanings such as:

Where do Children’s Habits come from?
After parents learn that good children must not be troublesome, ignorant, or careless towards others, the question now is, how do parents cultivate these traits in their children?
Good qualities are implanted in children through their cultivation of good habits.
Habits are familiarity, or each person’s individual behavior. They are developed with repetitive thoughts, speech, and actions. These repetitive activities, in turn, influence how good or bad we are.

The thing that the sincere parents want is the type of cleverness that makes the children grow up and progress in their life where they are able to make their living by them-selves, be useful to others and mostly .....

The Lord Buddha is just like a doctor who can clearly see the cause of suffering.
The Forth Noble Truth: The Path to the Cessation of Suffering

This is as if one suffer from malaria, instead of trying to cure the decease at its cause, he listens to others who told him that he has such decease because the ghosts or the.....
